DTE Energy is one of the largest Fortune 500 diversified utilities in the United States.It is comprised of regulated utility and non-utility businesses.Our two regulated business units are Detroit Edison, an electric utility serving much of Michigan, and MichCon, a gas utility.Our non-regulated businesses include a diversified portfolio of energy related companies with assets across the U.S., ranging from energy trading to renewable power development.In addition, our Energy Ventures group takes equity positions in promising new energy technology companies.

SR. BUSINESS ANALYST POSITIONSUMMARY

DTE Energy is seeking ambitious, energetic individuals to join the Strategy andCorporate Developmentgroup in Ann Arbor, Michigan.The group is comprised of former consultants from top-tier strategy firms, investment bankers, finance professionals, and recent MBA graduates.The Strategy andCorporate Developmentgroup works with all of DTEs businesses to address the complex challenges facing the energy industry today.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Identifying, screening and evaluating acquisition targets, with a particular focus on gas midstream and renewables
* Working with senior executives to understand industry trends and shape DTEs strategicmoves
* Assessing investment opportunities in the clean energy space
* Identifying new business opportunities to grow the non-utility portfolio
* Performs all other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

A quantitative undergraduate degree (e.g., engineering, economics, finance or similar are acceptable) and two to four years of experience in management consulting or investment banking are requiredto provide the following:

* Possess strong quantitative and communication skills
* Direct experience with M&A a plus
* Strong modeling skills
* A record of strong academic and professional achievement
* Ability to work independently
* Personal characteristics should include a high level of integrity, confidence, strong initiative taking, the ability to get agreement/buy-in, and a team-oriented work ethic
* Exposure to the energy industry a plus
